Default Monitor Question

I always wondered this...

Under Display Properties/Settings/Advanced and the Monitor tab. What is the screen refresh rate? Mine is set to 60 hertz but I noticed it can go to 75 hertz. Is it ok to change it to 70 or 75 hertz? Thanks.

It is the refresh rate of CRT monitors - you would notice a low refresh rate as a flicker on the screen. Most monitors will go to at least 70hz

Alright I never experienced that-so I assume that is good. So should I leave it at 60 hertz or can I increase it? Does it improve anything by increasing to 70 or 75 hertz?

You can increase it in stages - start with 70hz but don't apply it, just test it. The only real difference you will notice is a reduction in flicker...if you even noticed that in the first place.
