Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

MMM,that should not happen thats the right resolution for your screen.

Have you used the menu buttons on the front of your monitor?

Click on menu and the adjust is in there to put screen right size again.

Not sure what the symbol will be for viewsonic but it could be like a little tv shape with a line on one side left or right and then another little tv screen shape with a line on top or bottom.

Or it could be a V and a H symbol.

Or in menu on monitor choose auto adjust.

You use menu to squeeze screen back to were it should be.In menu buttons actualy situated on the monitor its self choose auto adjust.

Here is the manual scroll down to adjust your screen image settings http://www.viewsonic.com/pdf/usergui...m-3_ug_eng.pdf

Ok it may not be exact model but the princible is the same..

Did you have a disk that came with this monitor?

Is this a brand new monitor?
