This is my first post here so hello first of all, be gentle.

I have a 22" widescreen monitor that I use with my PC. I also still own an old 15" monitor that's pretty rubbish (1024x768 max res). My graphics card (nVidia 9700 GT) has dual outputs as almost all do these days.

What I would very much like to do is use my widescreen monitor as normal, but connect my older monitor up too and watch TV through it. I'm a little confused about how I might go about this and wondered if you may be able to offer some assistance.

right click desktop and select nvidia control panel. Set up multiple displays and configue each independantly (dualview) then just set up your tv playing program to run on that screen
