Re: Toshiba P105-S6024 LCD PROBLEM
A couple of suggestions:
1. Boot up into the BIOS.
Is the strip present?
If yes, then you probably have a memory problem, because you have not yet entered Windows.
What is displayed on the screen is a representation of what is in the display portion of the memory or you have a bad display screen.
I'd put my money on the memory.
2. If the strip was not present, exit out of the BIOS and boot into the SAFE mode.
Is the strip now present? If no, then you probably have a bad display driver.
At this point if you have not resolved the cause of the problem, enter the Device Manager and the Display adapters.
Right click on the device and click Uninstall.
Upon successful uninstalling of the device, reboot and let Windows reinstall the device.
At this point you might want to download and install a fresh copy of the latest display driver.
