Default [Answered] HDTV Resolution Help

Hey

Today I finally got my glorious 47" LG HDTV and everything is fine with the TV and console side of things but the PC is a different story. Now according to the online manual I found, it can support upto 1600x1200 at 60HZ. I tried selecting that and all I got was the "No Signal" screen, which means its not supported. I dont know if this is a driver issue, another Vista issue or a problem with the TV itself. Any ideas?

Oddly the resolution for the second monitor can only go upto 800x600. Plus I'm finding it difficult to activate them, I just dont understand this...

That is pretty odd :/

I was about to say maybe the card isnt good enough, then i saw you had an 8800gtx which is like...the best lol.

So my other thing is are you SURE vista supports 47'' screens?

I know a guy in USA,Garrett he has a 52 inch tv connected to his PC and it runs good however the resolution needed some work and it was never perfect.Plus it was connected as a media center setup full complete sterio/TV/PC etc etc.

What I dont get is why the manual says it can support these PC resolutions, when it cant.

Hi you have the refresh rate set low,try setting it to 85 or 96?

The monitors may need an updated driver.Have you got the NVIDIA control panel installed?

Are you using Vista to set the resolution/refresh rate?

Try the NVIDIA control panel if this does not work try the Vista one.,

Did your monitors come with floppy disk/CD/DVD with drivers on?

Multiple monitors are not enabled on a computer that you upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista

The highest resolution I can get it without getting the "no signal" screen is 1360x768. The next one after that is 1600x1200 and none of the refresh rates will work. The Vista page has higher resolutions on the other 3 monitors that it lists, but I cant do anything with them that makes it work. It maybe a case of the drivers, but trying to find a decent one for an 8800 GTX is proving difficult. I've gone back to a more stable 162.22 for now, I have tried the more recent ones but with no success. It's got me completely confused.
