bought a new LCD HDTV today which im trying to connect to my pc.
im connecting them together via a standard VGA cable. bassically they both fit into the ports perfectly but im am getting a no signal message whenever i select PC display on the TV. im posting my video card and TV model below incase it helps.

Brand & Model: Viewsonic N2640wb
vid card: ATI ASUS A9250

remember to keep it simple as im pretty computer illiterate, but any help is appreciated.

also forgot to add that im using a VGA cable from another viewsonic LCD TV, (actually im not even sure its a proper VGA cable, im just assuming because it fits both VGA slots on the PC and TV) do you think this could be the issue? the TV never came with a VGA cable.
