Without further a due: My sister for some reason picked up her laptop by the screen. Not sure how come, but she did. The screen snapped off the hinge thus rupturing the cords and essentially break the laptop. The screen is just white now and obviously the laptop is now unusable.
Taking it to a repair place the options seem to be: Replace the screen for about $250 dollars, or get the data off of the HDD (there is important data that needs to be saved) for $350.
So I come here asking: Is there anyway for me to be able to rescue the data myself without such a high price point? Maybe I shouldn't try as I wouldn't know how to do it without a screen. (Without setting up a network and whatnot).
So anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
No it wont conflict, it would show the OS files on the drive but as you are not booting off the extenal drive the files are `inactive` for want of a better word
