Thank you both for your help,

My motherboard is a DFI Lanparty nforce 590 SLI and sadly it does not have onboard video....

And when I try to reformat my hardrive I get the agreement page or the page where you press F8 to agree, and immediately after I press F8 I get that blue screen error...

yeah, it could very well be the video card or another component, I would try swapping them out one at a time with another one. That's what I would do if I was in your situation. Maybe somone else will have a better idea.

I have a friend with a PCI-E vid card....I will have to try that out.

What graphics card do you have installed?And by chance do you know what resolution the screen was going to change to before the screen went black?

Thanks for the reply AMDPhenomX4,

I have a XFX Nvidia 8600gt...and the resolution it was changing to was 1680x1050...

Oh and something I just remembered is that when I was previewing the different types of resolution it said it was for HD....I don't know if that help but its just something that i remembered...

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
