Default 2 monitors... 2 different resolutions?

I have a CRT monitor with a resolution of 1024x768 (my main monitor) and a TV with VGA input with resolution of 1366x768. Both are hooked up to my ATI Radeon HD 3850. Is there a way (using the Catalyst Control Center or something else) to make my two monitors display at their native resolutions instead of having them both be the same (1024x768)?

Default Re: 2 monitors... 2 different resolutions?

Hello Cullen418,

If you have both hooked up at the same time and switch between the two or have them running at the same time, you should be able to set each monitor up with its own unique settings right in the display properties. One monitor will be set as the primary monitor with its settings and the other will be secondary with its settings.

You do so by clicking on the 1 and the 2 in display properties/settings tab and setting which video output each are. There is a little drop down menu that lets you pick each monitor. Then when you set the settings for each output it should save the settings.

If you keep unplugging one monitor and changing the video cable to the other monitor, then the resolution will stay the same until you change it.

Hope that helps!
