My mother gave me an old computer she didn't use for me to have as an internet surfer...however it's driving me nuts. I cannot change the resolution from 800x600 to anything larger and scrolling for everything is aggravating! Anyway, it is a IBM Thinkpad 1300i series. The graphics card is a LynxEm+. When I go to Display Properties, Settings...the only options are: 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 and 1600x600. I have downloaded a new driver, but that did not help as well. I thought there would just be an option to select a higher resolution...but alas.

What exactly is the problem? You said you cannot change to a higher resolution, yet there are options for 1024x 768 and higher.
