Default Monitor Advice (Buying)

Hey all,
I am looking at buying at ASUS VW222U for $350 or a MW221C for $400.
my IT guy says that the VW22U is better and that the MW221C is apparently no longer in production.
Here are the ASUS spec' links for each monitor:
VW222U:ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
MW221C:ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

Does anyone have either of these monitors and can tell me what their strong points/flaws are?

Cheers

Don't really see much of a difference between the two in terms of specs... Why not grab a 19" widescreen for 140$?

Looking at the specs they seem solid, it's got an alright contrast ratio, high brightness, and the resolution is good

Newegg.com has some good deals now and then. Don't know what they charge to ship to Australia though, it's likely to get caught by Customs.
