The resolution settings are not set by the monitor but by the graphics card within your PC. Can you give us the system service tag for your Dell and we'll get you the correct drivers for your graphics card. If you also post the make and model number of the monitor, we can see if there is any software required for it too.

Thanks - there are a couple of default graphics "card" options with that motherboard. Can you go to your Device Manager and look under Disply Adapters and tell me what it says there...
