Lightbulb Settings still changing on their own

I had a problem with my monitor changing the settings from the recommended display settings to another display setting that makes my windows impossible to read because they don't fit correctly. I thought it was my monitor, so I purchased a new one, and guess what, it's still doing it. I went to the HP website and downloaded the newest drivers, but it didn't fix the problem.

Please help me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
my monitor changing the settings from the recommended display settings to another display setting
Are you talking about the screen resolution? e.g: 1024x768?

Hi Hengis - you always respond right away, thank you.

The answer to your question is YES. The recommended display setting should be 1280x1024, but it keeps changing to 640x480.

My monitor is an HP L1706 flat panel.

Thanks again,

What graphics card make and model do you have, it must be something related to the vga drivers.
