Default Using TV as monitor problems...

I'm having problems hooking up my TV to be used as a PC monitor. I have the PC and TV hooked up by S-Video cable, and the picture is displayed onto the TV, the only problem is that the TV is displayed the picture in Black and White (at leat mostly.) What could be the the actual problem here? I know the TV can display color since I watch cable in color, as well as playing with video game consoles..

A few feet, and now I know it isn't the cable. Since I've tried 2 different S-Video cables.. How do I do the NTSC/PAL setup on the PC?

On my tv at home in the menus on it you can select ntsc or pal maybe you need to do that to match you settings on the PC
