Hey guys!!!

Big Problem here..... I decided to take pictures of what I'm talking about here.... Cause this is kinda well... Odd.... I was doing fine and dandy here playing my games, and then this happens.... Theres aqua and red markings that eerily look like the matrix on my computer. Its also annoying the heck outta me.

My PC was off the whole night before and through the whole day today and this still happens to my monitor.... What in the world is going on with my monitor? It probably isn't the video card because the screen view comes in the normal way in some place... But others is these weird lines....

I hope that I don't have to buy a new monitor. I've had this one for almost a year now, and flat screen monitors are a bit expensive. What do you guys think?

Best thing to try is update your video card drivers, and if that doesn't work...pull your video card out, rub the gold connectors with a soft tipped eraser, and plug it back in.

Failing that....your video card is overheating

so then its definitely his video card and not the monitor?

How could a video card overheat if I haven't used the computer for too long?

Yeah, before ripping the machine apart, I'd try the monitor on a different computer. Or try degaussing it (the symbol that looks like a magnet with the no smoking type symbol crossing it out...it' makes the screen all trippy cool for a couple seconds). That is an LCD right? If so I'm pretty sure there's no degauss. Check to make sure that it wasn't banged or dropped while you weren't there to see it. If none of the above work then take the video card out and start rubbing it's connections.

Do you think maybe the UPS shipment casing it was in 3 months ago may have something to do with it? It was properly packaged when I received it. No problem there. But if there was, I doubt it fell over. Its securely been on my desk the whole time.

The monitor is an LCD, an Envision to be exact.

Antoinejones requested information in regards to the video card, so I obtained that.... IF its really that necessary....

Information on video card: Radeon (Red in color)

Model number - ATI X800-DV256

On fan: PN7120009600 O548D

From any of this information supplied, is there anything information wise to update the system in case it could be a failure due to that? Please note that when I scroll up and down on the internet, it also freezes for a second. It just recently started on that this morning. The monitor is also the same as pictured as well with the aqua lines going down like the Matrix again.
