Default good hdmi cables for 1080p?

All right, I got my setup running good and all except I can only get 1080i going to my Emprex 37in hd monitor. I would like to get it to 1080p since both my motherboard and HDTV both support it. I'm using the cheepest hdmi cable from frys ($18 for 6ft), but now i'm wondering if i went too cheep.
Does anyone know if the more expensive $70 are worth it? would that get me to 1080p?
