Default Monitor "no signal"

Hi all

After setting up my pc after a couple of months in boxes, during house move.
I am getting a no signal message when firing up.
The tower seems to be firing up ok but there doesnt seem to be anything getting through to the monitor?

Iv tried to get it working on my flat monitor (acer) and also on our samsung tv too.

On both occasions, after displaying "no signal" the tv/monitor goes into stnadby after about 10 seconds.

Is it likely to be just a dodgy cable?

Cheers

Lee

Hi there Lee and welcome to PCHF

Are you using the same cable to try to connect those monitors? I would suspect that something was dis-lodged, inside the case, during the house move. How competent are you on the "inside" of your PC case?

Fairly competent, i built it mate!!

Iv had a quick scan through the inside and cant find anything loose, although i might have another scan, take the gfx card out and reconnect it

Have you checked for any dislodged pins inside the monitor cable?
