Default tft = hd?

Hi, you might laugh your socks off at this, but i have what may be a very silly question! I am getting a new monitor delivered soon (HannsG HGHW191 19" widescreen TFT monitor). I do not really know much about them, today a friend at work told me that if i plug my xbox 360 in to it, it will function as a HDTV. Is that true? I hope so but im not convinced!

Only if it's a HD compatible monitor.

I've had a look on the specs page, it doesn't appear to be though you could just nick a component to DVI cable off a mate or buy one and try it.

It is, you won't get 1080i res though. I have that same monitor, it supports up to 1440x900.

It can support 720p

HD resolutions:
1080p 1920x1,080
1080i 1920x1,080
720p 1280x720
