Default Lost Inch at the top and bottom of screen

My Monitor is playing me up. It recently became narrow like watching wide screen on normal TV if you know what mean. I've tried adjusting it on the monitor buttons, the best i can do is to have about an inch missing off top and bottom. I have tried adjusting the resolution in the display setting on by right clicking the desktop, no joy. Any help would here would be appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to the PCHF Deadeye,

This may sound like a silly question, but have you tried restarting your computer?
