Unhappy hi

hello im new on here but plese can you help my monitor wont come out of standby if i put the signal cable in it goes onto standby if i take it out it just says no signal being recieved

What do you mean by signal cable? The VGA cable that connects from your PC to your screen? Is your PC working, you normally hear a beap when you first switch your PC on?
