Just bought a new HP with Vista and I am having trouble with the new Viewsonic Monitor, I keep getting a message at startup that it is best viewed at 1680 x 1050, the problem that I am having is that this is not one of my options under screen resolution, I have tried to download different drivers but no luck.

I think that the problem you are having is a setting on the monitor, not the vga card. I've had it on mine too, there should be a setting somewhere in the monitor menu where you can disable the message.
