Default Laptop LCD displays white

Okay, in a series of upgrades I'm doing to my computers I installed a new LCD on my laptop, a Fujitsu Lifebook L440. It's the exact same kind as the old LCD except new. Anyway, it just displays white, no picture at all. I switched back the old LCD and it soes the same thing. It works with an external monitor though, please help...I know I've been posting alot recently but it seems that something always has to go wrong....

Hi Zachary,

When you say new LCD on your notebook...do you mean the actual screen that is on the lid of the notebook that folds down?

If so...your best bet would be to take it to a fujitsu repair station and get them to take a look at it. It's possible that you've missed a connection somewhere

Yeah, the actual screen. There's no missed connection, I checked everything. When I plugged in an external monitor though, a message saying the driver that displays things on my monitor was damaged or missing (or something like that) came up. I've taken out and reinstalled the LCD screen when I replaced the broken hinges and it worked fine afterwords. I also put in 2 different HDs to test, my old one with Windows ME & one with NT 4.0, same reults with both. They work on my desktop monitor, a gateway VX1120, but not on the laptop LCD. I have another Fujitsu Lifebook L440 that I bought for it's hinges that I plan on reselling and it too does the same thing now....it seems to me anyway that I just need to re-install the driver but I have no idea which one or where to find it.
