The other day i put my Fujitsu Siemens v3505 laptop down on the floor just normally and the screen cracked and am nowleft with a big green inky patch on my screen aswell as a green crack right through middle. I was wondering if I could buy any 15.4 inch laptop lcd screen and fit it into my laptop, or any 15.4 inch Fujitsu Siemens lcd screen or does it have to be for my specific laptop. I am looking to order a new laptop screen ASAP probabley off ebay depending on this answer, but apart from ebay does anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced lcd screen. Thanks for any help

I think it is probably possible although looking at things it looks like you need one for your specific model, unless you can find one easily you may have to go the repair route get it sorted.

Not knowing enough about that particular laptop model, I would say it's best to contact Fujitsu Siemens for advice on this - you really don't want to go wasting any money.

Fujitsu probably won't sell you the individual parts, they also charge a minimum of $233 for repairs at their repair depot. I remember from when I needed my hinges fixed on my Lifebook L440. I ended buying a parts L440 for sale on ebay to get the hinges, it was alot cheaper. If you take it to a PC repair shop it can be costly also, the one near me was going to be atleast $100 to get the hinges replaced.

I would pull the laptop apart and see what screen it is exactly there are only a few manufactures of screens. then you will know what to look for exactly the screen will have the manufacturer on it and the model no.

You may choose to do that BUT this is dangerous advice for anyone who has not done this before.
