Well, unlike a PC's, the parts are integrated. There are *some* separate parts such as the backlight, but some companies charge you for just looking at it, it's a gamble. You maybe lucky. With the company I work for, we came to a decision that the cost of repairing monitors, parts and labour ended up costing more that it would to buy new. So now, whenever a screen fails, we will do a quick check for anything we can see if there is a simple fix such as a loose ribbon, if it's not under warranty, it usually end's up in a skip!
