Exclamation [Pending] CTR Monitor Has no InPut Signal! :( PLEASE HELP

Hey Guys, after fixing my computer, I started to put all the bits and pieces back in. Put the Graphics card and Ram in etc.. It was working fine for about 20 mins, untill i decided to put an old 512 ram stick i had in, when i tryed to start up again it started but then all power went off and wouldnt start up again.

There was also a slight smell as if something had blown?

So i took it out and put the old ram back in, but now the monitor shows a "no input signal" message, normal when the computer is off. so i try and power it up, fans on, computer sounds good, i'm just waiting for an image and still the no input signal.

things i've done:
- checked connections: no changes
- unplugged 3rd party hardware: no changes
- power cycled: no changes
- blew out the dust from inside the tower: no changes
- plugged in a known working monitor 2, it didn't display any picture
- Pluging the CRT cable into the mobo's graphics slot and the grapics card ctr but both give no luck

hmmm, so i'm tapped out. hope this isn't too confusing to anyone. i saw something about resetting CMOS? if so can someone help me with this process, or whatever troubleshooting needed.

Any help would be awesom!

Thanks

Scott

Hello Tunnie

Do you get any beeps of any kind?
You may have inadvertantly dislodged the graphics card whilst replacing the memory.

Can you hold on while a few of the tech team guys get in Tunnie, they may have a better idea regarding your problem.

Hi Scott,

Everything you just said, buring smell, no beeps, points straight to the processor. Maybe cooked? Was the fan working, and is it the correct fan for the CPU your using?
