Default [Fixed] No signal but.......

Hi All. Please could you help me out.
My freind brought round his pc(tower only) for me to fix i did this with his norton ghost restore which he had already installed onto a partion which all went well...
Until i took his pc back to him. When i plugged his monitor in it said no signal please check cables ect.. which i did still no signal.
So brought it back to my house plugged it into my monitor and it;s fine??

any ideas please?

Hi H03y,

Welcome to PCHF.

Check the resolution isn't too high and that the refresh rate isn't higher than 75. Some monitors don't support these high settings.

Thanks for quick response
I will reduce both and take it back to his house this afternoon and post my results.

Reduced both res.. and refresh rate then took it back and hey what do you know it worked.
