At times the monitor freezes in the screen saver mode or if I have turned the monitor off it will not come back on. I have checked power saved options and have set to never. Help.

Hey there welcome to Pchf,

there's a whole lot of problem it could be,

What's your operating system ?
What graphic's card do you have?
Have you tryed turning off your screensaver?

You could also try lowering your screen resolution. older cards don't have as much power or memory as the newer ones and as a result can't run at higher screen resolutions.

Could you also follow the prework here
http://www.pchelpforum.com/hijackthi...a-prework.html

and post a Avg Anti Spyware and HiJackThis log .
