auh man, dell has spoken: The video card does not support dual monitor. If you want to add a second monitor, you must purchase a PCI based video card.

sorry for the double double post. this is what dell said

Thank you for contacting Dell Technical Support.

I have reviewed your email and understand that you want to know whether your computer supports VGA and dual monitors.

Mr. Cristib, the Dimension system has integrated video on the system board. No AGP video connector is available for other video options. Features of the video card are as follows:

*Core frequency of 266 MHz
*VGA/UMA support
*High-performance 3D setup and render engine
*High-quality/performance text engine
*2D graphics/3D graphics rendering enhancement
*Video DVD/PC-VCR
*Video mixer render support
*Bicubic filter support
*Integrated 350 MHz RAMDAC

The video card does not support dual monitor. If you want to add a second monitor, you must purchase a PCI based video card.

NOTE: Only PCI based video card would be supported by your computer. PCI Express cards is not supported by the system.

No, just the last card. They are identical cards, just different connections (PCI instead of AGP).
