Default default monitor

gday all,going into my device manager to look at display settings & such,i have noticed that it has listed "default" monitor.i seemed to not be able to change any of the settings for this "default"how can i rectify this & show that it is my IBM E74 monitor & be able to set its settings accordingly.cheers in advance

Default

Go into display properties ( right clicking desktop), settings, advanced, monitors, and select "change". Change "default" monitor to your monitor .

Hi nads...welcome to the forum.

With windows xp, it doesn't matter what monitor it says you've got there...it all works the same these days unless you've install monitor specific programs which ultimatly slow the computer down.
