Monitors - [Resolved] Monitor fade, freeze then nothing & beep code posted in the Hardware forums; oh cr*p. is there any way of checking if it IS the RAM that is fried? I can get new SDRAM for £60-70 quid but don't want to spend that ...

oh cr*p.

is there any way of checking if it IS the RAM that is fried? I can get new SDRAM for £60-70 quid but don't want to spend that much if it isn't the RAM that is faulty...

problem solved.

i took out the RAM and video card and gave them a good clean, esp gold contacts.

booted up, monitor responded, everything appears to be working fine!

thanks for all the info!
