Grey to Grey and black to black is how they messure the response times on LCDs
Black to black is where it goes from black, to white and to black again.
Grey to grey is where they messure it from grey...to white...you guessed it...to grey again.
Black to black is extended timings. This is the effect called "ghosting" if the response time is too slow, then it will leave "ghosts" of what you had on the screen moments before.
but 5ms grey to grey should be about 12ms black to black which is just fine for games
