Have you changed your video card settings to output to the tv? Most cards will have to be configured to output to both. Depending on which card you have , look for a setting that says clone, or dualview or something similar. Try setting the tv as the primary display and see if its better. I have a 25 foot cord on mine and it works ok, but its not recommended, if your cords much longer it could be a problem, but you should still get a viewable picture.

The lead is no more than 1.5 metres at most.
i've tried everything you said and all i manage to get is a bit of a blurry lame image on the tv.

[tests again]

Ok it doesnt seem as bad now but im not sure what i did...
The image quality is now comparale to VHS.

That sounds alot better, i have an antenna and no cable, so vhs quality looks great to me. lol Try playing a movie and see what it looks like, your desktop may never look as good as it does on your monitor, unless you have a really good tv.

i already tried playing a movie.
thats what gave vhs quality
any still images, especially cgi ones, look really bad and light bits tend to glow and show up a shade of blue.
I only wanted it for movies anyway really so it`ll do for now. :-)

Thanks

You might try going to your card mfgs. website, and download the latest drivers for it.
