Default New pc, no connection to monitor

I have recently bought a new pc, and it arrived with a few problems, firstly the power and reset buttons were not connected. I have managed to sort that out, but when it came to plugging in the monitor it comes up with no connection.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Many thanks in return

Hi crystalfenix!
Welcome to PC Helpforum!

What kind of PC have you bought?
Have you been able to try another monitor?

Are there multiple connections where you can put the monitor on?
Make sure you try them all.

Blue

I have also tried removing the GPU and resetting the CMOS and trying to use the Connection from the motherboard. I haven't been able to test the Graphics card or another card in that machine as i don't have any other compatible computer...
There is a connection for TV out which i can't connect and a connection for DVI out. I don't know what kind of connection that is...

Cheers

Hi crystalfenix...i'm just curios...can you please post a photo of the video card? Those photos you posted regarding the front panel connectors really helped, and i just want to see the video card (while it's plugged in) and how they had it set up.

And what kind of connection is DVI? Well...
Short for Digital Visual Interface, a digital interface standard created by the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG) to convert analog signals into digital signals to accommodate both analog and digital monitors. Data is transmitted using the transition minimized differential signaling (TMDS) protocol, providing a digital signal from the PC's graphics subsystem to the display. The standard specifies a single plug and connector that encompass both the new digital and legacy VGA interfaces, as well as a digital-only plug connector. DVI handles bandwidths in excess of 160 MHz and thus supports UXGA and HDTV with a single set of links. Higher resolutions can be supported with a dual set of links.
