Default Wierd Problem

Hi... well i will try to explain myself the best i can.

My problem is that my monitors color is kind of strange, mostly with the red color you can notice that it doesn't look right.

You can barely notice red color altough you know it's red, in a certain way my monitor is like in a bluish sort of colored way.

I've seen posts in other websites and they refer to the same problem and some say the problem comes from the monitor connection to the cpu, but i've played alot with it and nothing has worked, i've tried changing the resolution but didn't work either.

It happens frecuently and then suddenly goes a way and the colors turn back to normal but suddenly it happens again, i really don't know that the problem is, i hope someone can help me. Thanks.

I have Windows XP SP2, my grapchis controller is Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Grapchis Controller, my resolution is 1024x768, color quality highest (32bites) true color. I don't know if this helps.

P.S. This problem happened before and after updating my graphic controller so i don't think that has much to do with it.

Phew... Thanks. =)

Hey Kroooz,

Welcome to PCHF. We have an excellent team of techs on site. I feel sure that we can determine what is causing this problem.

These kinds of problems can be caused by both hardware and software issues, they can even be caused by malware. So I would like you to start by ruling out the RLMs (rotten little monsters) as the culprits by carefully following the instructions for PreWork in my signature. Post back the two resulting logs, ewido and HijackThis, and we can determine if there is any type of infection messing with your vid settings.

Once we are sure that malware is no longer relevant, we can start ruling out other things until we find the culprit.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN
