Sounds like that might be a prob with youre hosts file:

Download the Hoster from here. Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program. This will restore the original Hosts file.

Then see if you can get .NET from here

Or have a look here , you can use this to update windows with Firefox:

Must not be my lucky day. It seems other things have happened. My cursor won't show up and Rundll has gotten errors. I'm told i'll need to reinstall my OS to fix the screen, rundll error, and cursor problem.

Sorry for taking up your time.

Thanks for your help though.

Could it be malware or spy ware? I dont think you should reinstall yet. Thats the last resort.

Dowload hjt http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip and save it as a txt file and upload it on your next thread.

At first look as I am not a hijackthis expert I know you do not have an ativrus program or firewall?

O dop know you can rerun hijackthis and have it clean these entries. But please before you do this save hijack this inot your documents so it can make a backup

Do you have this software installed?

Aslo you may want to download lspfix before joe gets to you.

http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
You wont have to reofrmat though!!

And you have alot of startup programs as well. Maybe why so sluggish.. Wait untill Joe5 looks at the whole list since I am not really experienced at this but I know some of it;.

There is alot , and i mean ALOT more malware on there.. :o That pc is really heavely infected with all sorts of infections..

My advice would be to reinstall windows , that will save you alot of time compared to cleaning this up. Let me know what you want.
