Default Problem with monitor after TV attachment

So, I get a new widescreen hdtv that has support as a monitor, provided I have a cable to connect my pc to the television.

I do this and it works great, I reset my resolution to better fit the widescreen and mess around with it for awhile.

When I attempt to reconnect my normal monitor to my pc my monitor gets no signal, I try connecting a second monitor and get no signa. I then realize I never reset the resolution to the norm before removing it from the TV. I bring the PC back to the TV, it works fine, and I reset the resoution and bring it back to the monitor.

I get the same problem I had before(at this point I discover my computer will not turn off when I hit the power buttoon, so I am forced to unplug it manually) I try bringing the PC back to the TV, but this time I get no signal when connected to the TV.

I attatched my laptop to the TV and it has no problems displaying. I really have no idea what to do, any help would be appreciated!

Hey Stros,

Welcome to PCHF. We have a wonderful team of techs on this site, and I am sure that we will be able to help you determine what is going on with your video card.

Can you please post the stats for your Vid card, and your PC, OS etc.? That will give us a good place to start.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN
