Welcome to pchelpforum topcat43.

What buttons do you have on your screen?

When you push one of the buttons you should get a menu display, browse through it and look for `degauss`, this should help resolve the problem.

Otherwise try wiggle the cable where it connects to your video card and see whether it disappears.

Otherwise it could be going bad...

A screenshot might not work if it is a monitor problem, but saying that it would confirm whether it is a video card or screen problem.

I'm sorry, misread that it was about an LCD screen!

Default LCD Screen

I'm afraid this sounds like a duff screen, try the screen on another pc. If the lines are still there it might mean a replacement ( check with your supplier about warranty as they might replace it). If not then get your vga card checked out.
