Default [Fixed] Monitor image dark

I'm using an old monitor. My good one went to ****. When I play Wolfenstein at 800/600 the image is really dark and unplayable. The brightness is turned all the way up. When I switch to 640/480 the image is clear, but some of the image is cut off. Can anyone help?

Hey neko.

Which Wolfenstein are you playing?

Would you also be able to tell us what video card you are running in your PC.

Go to www.nvidia.com and update your driver first.

The driver is updated. Windows resolution is 800/600. It's the lowest it goes. It's fine.

While you have the settings on 800 x 600, within Wolfenstein you should be able to adjust the "gamma" within the game options menu.

That will increase the brightness.
