Default [ANSWERED] Monitor won't turn on

It started blacking out for a couple seconds. This hapened for about two weeks. Then it blacked out and never came back on. The monitor make a ticking sound while plugged in. When I push the button to turn it on nothing happens. Right now I'm using a different monitor so I don't think? it has anything to do with the computer. Can anyone help?

Hi there,

Do you have any magnetic things around or near your moniter?

:-) Hi Neko,

As the monitor went bad over a period of time and finally stopped working all together, and you are able to work with another monitor, it is not a video card issue. It sounds as if you have a dead monitor on your hands. :-( Sorry, make sure to recycle it at your local computer recycler. There is a lot of lead in those things we wouldn't want in a land fill.

Look forward to seeing you in the forums.
