hi i have a new mobile and when i use it in mass storage mode and go to remove it safely a message saying "the device generic volume cannot be stoped right now. try again later comes up. this also is happening with my external hard drive does anyone know what this is and how i can sort it out?
you could use Unlocker to see which process may be accessing your drive. (after installed, right-click on drive and select unlocker) report back with what you find.
hi mate thanks for taking the time to help me i have done as you said and the message that appears is as follows:-
no locking handle found.
however unlocker can help you with this object.
Choose what action you want to perform on the object
(these are the choices it gives me)
No action
Delete
Re-name
Move
My anti virus is Comodo by the way (don't know if you need to know this)
Hi Huytonhead and Welcome to PCHF
Try Switching the mobile phone off before disconnecting to be sure that no data is being syncronised between the mobile phone and the PC.
