Default half of my ram doesn't work half the time

I run a dualcore 2.2ghz, 2gigs of ram, and windows xp, i installed the 2gigs of ram awhile ago, i changed the voltage or whatever to 2.1 and both sticks had been working fine, then as of recently only half of it works however occasionally when i startup both sticks will work, i use ballistix tracer ram and i get both the L.E.D. lights on the bottem to turn on but my computer only recognizes 1gig of the ram and occasionally whenever it feels like it both, any help will be appreciated

Reset the Ram voltage or whatever back from 2.1 to the default motherboard settings for it.

See if doing this fixes the problem...

I'm no Overclocker... but I do know that RAM Voltages and RAM Timings can be tricky stuff
We would need more info:
Motherboard model CPU,etc.

I have a hardware post to save us both some time:

I suggest-- when you repost-- go into "User CP" "edit options" --scroll down the list.
List all your hardware in the spaces...please be sure to list the Brands and Model Numbers
-- at the top of that section-- there is an option to "allow others to view my specs"-- click on yes.
This places a drop-down menu next to your Username with a list of your hardware.
It saves a lot of time between posts if while you check something we can go look up your motherboard manufacturer's site and read the manual.

You can also list your OS...all this is a great time-saver for us-- we can view everything quickly to refresh our memories... as we are all working multiple threads at once.
We also don't have to review the entire thread to remind us of what you run.
This would be automatic from that point on-- so if you have another problem six months from now-- we can instantly know what you have.

I have added the specs for my computer however the only option for others to view was the vCard, i checked that if you have any other problems with it just let me know and i will work to change it A.S.A.P.

Also thank you for your time, it is greatly appreciated.

The Vcard is for site contact info--
There is a small checkbox at the top of the section where you listed all your hardware-- like this:

System Specs Would you like to show other members your computer specs? Default is (NO) This will be displayed in your posts via a drop down menu for other members to view. Add your system specs in your usercp Edit options. NO YES
