Default 4GB then Boom! Blue screen

Hey guys.

I received my extra 2GB RAM in the post this morning to make a grand total of 4GB. The thing is, once they were installed my computer froze and blue screened when I turned it on. Now I have taken one stick out so I have 3GB in there; lo and behold, it works perfectly. Is this a sign telling me to install 64bit vista or is there a workaround so it wont blue screen with 4GB in there?

For the record, I know 32bit vista wont recognise more than 3.5GB, but you can't buy 512mb sticks of OCZ platinum RAM.

Cheers

Okay for some reason i even got a blue screen using 3GB. It was different, though. PFN_LIST_CORRUPT...

It restarted before I could write any more information down.

This is it, isn't it? I'm going to backup all my game saves and install vista x64. See ya in a few hours.
