Default Physical memory Dump blue screen

So..Randomly I am getting a weird blue screen. At the top is says:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOTLESS_OR_EQUAL

Says something about hardware or software not properly installed and that I should disable memory options such as shadowing or caching from my BIOS and to restart in safe mode.

Also lists under a heading tech info:
STOP: 0x000000d1 (0x000000EC, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x9B548A50)

HTTP.sys - address 9B9548A50 Base at 9B537000, DATESTAMP 41007b69

The it says startign a physical memry dump..
Phyical memory dump completed

I have absolutely no idea what to do. At it happens randomly, not like after a certain action or anything. It's never a constant error.

Needless to say I'm confused

Hello Zetsubou.

Sometimes these machines can certainly become frustrating.

I've encountered that error on two occasions one of which was the result of bad memory and the other an over exuberant approach to overclocking.

I would suggest that it wouldn't be a bad idea to run memtest

Let's eliminate that as a possibility and then we'll see whether we need a guru on the job.

It would also help if you could post your system specifications so that we know what we are dealing with.

Motherboard, CPU, RAM and Size, or Make and model of system.

Thank you.

Zetsubou can you think back and by chance recall whether or not you installed anything that coincides with the time these errors began?

A game? AntiVirus Software?

They've really happened since I got the damn machine. Recently since the reformat, I've installed XP home, microsoft office, the divers on my ASUS disc I got with the PC, the drivers on the cd i recieved with my GeForce 8500 gt cards, Norton 2007, Intervideo DVD copy trial, Flash, Photoshop, Reader, Direct X 9.0, iTunes and Firefox.

Lets see what I can get you as far as my system specs.

Athlon 64 X2-600+
[AM2]ASUS M2N-SLI, Nforce 560SLI
[DDR2-800] Kingston KVR800D2n5/1G
XFX 8500GT 512MB(X2)
Hitachi 320BG 16MB SATA-2

I think That should be sufficent? Not sure though lol

It's like diving into a pool and not being able to see the bottom.

Thanks Zetsubou.

I had one Asus board that was finicky like that and in the end changing to different memory helped the most though it never ran what I would call perfect.

Let's wait and see how you running memtest turns out and if it checks out OK I'll enlist the aid of one of our BSOD specialists.
