Question Ram Compatibility Issue?(Looking to add more ram)

I am looking to add on some ram to my Custom built system. It is only about 8 months old. It has a NFORCE 680i LT SLI motherboard, and the current ram on it is Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
Which I notice is almost like this dominator ram of the same series, same size, same clock and cas latency.Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS2 DOMINATOR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

My question is are these two types of ram compatible with eatchother? Or should I buy the same ram I already have rather than buying more effieciant stuff.

Thank you

I myself would buy the same type Ram that I already have installed. This way there should not be any compatibility issues...

Hello I have marked your thread as "Open" in readyness for the Tech Team to answer your question.

My opinion is realy to buy the same brand named/size/speed RAM this can stop most issues.Although you do not have to buy the exact same branded RAM.I would match speeds though.
