Default memory upgrade problem

Hello
I have a Epox 8KHA+ motherboard with 256 MB of RAM which i wanted to
upgrade I purchased off Ebay 512MB Hynix DDR333 PC2700-512 Mo MB DDR 333 PC 2700 memory card and fitted it to my second slot but the upgrade was not recognised someone suggested that there might be a compatibility problem between the 2 cards so i replaced the original memory with the new memory but my computer would not boot up just bleeped suggesting faulty memory or not the correct type so i sent it back to hong kong & never heard anymore from them again i then purchased from a uk seller a Kingston KVR266X64C26/256 256MB PC2100 CL2.5 184 pin DIMM using there online memory checker & supplying them with my motherboard details again this did not work so sent it back & the replacement did not work either i checked my motherboard spec with another seller (Crucial) & they suggest a 512MB, 184-pin DIMM, DDR PC2700 memory module i'm loathed to purchase this and find it doesn't work any help would be appreciated

Hello niles,I just read the review on this board you have.

It takes up to a total of 1.5GB PC2100 DDRAM in three DIMM slots.

You bought wrong RAM as far as I can tell.
