Default Computer wont boot up at all!

I just recently bought some new ram (g skill ddr2 800 4gb) as an upgrade from my ddr2 2gb. After I installed the new ram, my computer wouldn't boot up and just gave four long beeping sounds. I re disconnected everything and then put in just one stick of the new, then tried both old, then just one old and no matter what combination I use, nothing works!
My computer right now is useless now and wont show a display or stop the beeping sounds. I even tried replacing the cmos battery on the motherboard and letting it sit 5 minutes. No matter what I do, nothing works.
Some help would be VERY appreciated!

Welcome to the site WildBill

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Do you know the motherboard make and model number...or the PC make and model?

I am alos experiencing the same problem too, i was upgrading my parents computer up to 1gig and it doenst mater what slot i put the old or new ones in, even to it's original ram set up it will not boot, just sits there making the drive checks over and over again, cos you can here them clicking. Normally it would turn on, here the drive checks and then 'Beeb' and then the screen comes on. But it wont even do that .

I have put ram into my own pc many times and done alot of other peoples computers and laptops with ease. This is just being a pain in the bottom. grrr

Please help

p.s. I had to register as new user, my old one doesnt work
