looong stressfull story short: vista wouldnt install, so we took 2gb stick out and it installed. putting the 2gb stick back in caused it to crash and not work. We wanted 4gb ram, so took it to pc world tech team and after a day, they gave it back completely broken, not even vista working with 2gb ram. not happy, we told them to take it back and put it ATLEAST to how it was.
anyway, now i have my pc back. 4gb ram, 32bit vista installed. We wanted 64bit vista on it, but it doesnt matter so much atm.
They claimed one of the ram sticks to be faulty and so replaced it
now, i recently bought cod4 (the game) and opened it, pc crashed. i restarted, and the pc kept on freezing at random points during startup. some times it would make it to the desktop, only to freeze whilst im on internet explorer, or scanning for virus's etc.
i have no idea whats happened, and have a limited knowledge of pcs. is it the ram causing trouble or the mb or anything?
i need this pc for uni, starting in a week, and could really do with sorting it out
thanks alot.
