ok, the clips were in but i took it out and replaced it anyway. so far it hasnt frozen on me, and i successfully restarted the pc CORRECTLY. its still not crashed, so im attempting to install COD, to see if the problem reoccurs.

surely this was too simple.. to just rejiggle the ram?
