Hey guys .
I bought a PC133 128MB SDRAM module (I think it's SDRAM) to add to my 256MB module that I already have. So when I plugged it in Windows starts and it still says it has only 256MB of RAM, instead of the 384MB I was hoping for. I know the module is working because I took out the 256MB and left in the 128MB and it showed up in windows. I have tried moving the RAM around in different variations, with no luck . BTW, I am running Windows XP Home.
Any help guys?

Hey George,

Are both modules identical? Motherboards can often be quite fussy about the configuration of different modules. Also ensure that the board does actually support more than 256mb, it sounds like a very old system?

Wrong MM,lol.

Ok looked into BIOS setup tried a few setiings no change on excepting the RAM module.

Exceptance that the computer is old but it will except upto 1 gig of RAM.

However issue appears to be RAM must be matching mb sticks.
