I have read the specs on the board and could not find if it supports diffrent sized memory.

You can try the 512 mb in the first slot nearest CPU and see if it boots.

Did we not have this conversation before?

Does RAM/Memory run at its fastest speed all the time?Does it run at its full potentiol?

As the mainboard specs dont pertain to mixed sticks then I would just leave the 512 mb alone.

512 mb added to 2 gig already installed will give you no diffrence or not a noticable diffrence in performance.

If 3GB won't make much difference( http://www.pchelpforum.com/memory/50...differenc.html )adding 512mb will make even less

I'd leave it alone as you don't stand to gain much and in fact if it's in dual channel mode now (possible) you'll mess that up using the inferior stick.
